The Rested CEO - 4 Month Leadership Incubator

Lead from rest. Live spaciously. Flourish without sacrificing your health.

The Rested CEO is a 4-month incubator created to help Black women in corporate and entrepreneurship lead from rest so success stops costing them their health.

You'll move from calendar chaos and survival-driven success into rest-centered rhythms that restore your energy and protect your capacity, the proof that success was never supposed to cost you this much.

This work is grounded in faith as much as it is in strategy. Rest isn't something you have to earn permission for, it's something you were always meant to receive. That belief runs underneath everything here, whether or not faith is a word you'd use for it yourself.

A small, vetted circle of 6 women. No pressure — start with a conversation.

"I'm relearning how to rest and I don't think I'm alone in that. This is what's so desperately missing and Malica is offering it. I'll be singing her praises every chance I get."

— Dr. Jylla Moore Tearte, host of Whispers Behind the Words

The question you came here with

"I've gotten this far without resting. Why would I stop now?"

That's a fair thought. Whatever you've been doing has worked. You have the title, the track record, the proof.

But here's what "this far" doesn't show you: the cost that hasn't come due yet. The body sends warnings long before it sends a bill — a sleep debt you've stopped noticing, a health screening you keep meaning to schedule, a version of yourself at home that's smaller than the one at work. "I've made it this far" is true. It's just not the same as "this is sustainable for the next ten years."

And here's the part almost no one says out loud: the higher you climb, the more this pattern costs you — not less. What got you promoted won't get you through the next level without a different foundation underneath it.

Rest isn't the thing that stops your momentum. It's what makes it possible to keep climbing without your body sending you the bill first.

This isn't about stopping. It's about not finding out the hard way what "this far" was actually costing you.

Start here

You don't think you're burned out. You think you're "just busy."

Burnout sounds like the extreme — like someone who's already collapsed. So you don't see yourself in it. You're still performing. Still delivering. Still in control. But "just tired" has been your answer for a while now. See if any of this is yours:

  • You can't remember your last real, unplugged vacation.
  • You rest only after you feel “prepared enough” for tomorrow.
  • Stillness makes you antsy, guilty, or vaguely behind.
  • Sugar, caffeine, or late-night work is how you cope.
  • Your body's been sending signals you keep overriding.
  • You're the strong one — and no one knows how tired she is.

The double life

Five aches you know by heart — and the redesign for each.

You've been managing the symptoms. The Rested CEO goes after the system underneath them.

The ache · 01

I look successful. I'm running on fumes.

Recognition, opportunities, money, visibility — and a body quietly paying the bill. Successful in public. Sick in private.

The redesign

Stop performing wellness. Rebuild real capacity.

Guided by someone who lived this exact double life, you stop managing the image and start restoring the engine — so your private health finally supports your public calling.

The ache · 02

Who am I if I'm not producing?

Busyness became proof that you're worthy, needed, deserving. Slow down and the guilt shows up. Rest only feels allowed once everything's handled — and it never is.

The redesign

Separate your worth from your work.

We name the belief running underneath the busyness and rewire it — from “I have to earn my place through exhaustion” to “my worth is not up for review every time I slow down.”

The ache · 03

I can't seem to put the sugar down.

Sugar, caffeine, scrolling, one more hour of work — the things that get you through the day and quietly keep you depleted.

The redesign

Read the craving as communication.

Your craving isn't a character flaw — it's a message. Drawing on Malica's sugar-freedom expertise, we decode what your body's actually asking for and build rhythms that answer it.

The ache · 04

Resting feels like falling behind.

You know rest matters. But the moment you stop, it feels risky — like losing momentum, becoming irrelevant, letting people down.

The redesign

Rest as infrastructure, not indulgence.

With a systems lens from her tech and corporate years, Malica reframes rest as part of how you lead — not a break from the business, but the foundation that makes sustainable leadership possible.

The ache · 05

I've abandoned myself to keep this going.

The deepest ache isn't tiredness — it's identity. Years of being the capable one, the first one, the one who made it, have quietly cost you your relationship with yourself.

The redesign

Come home to yourself.

We rebuild your identity on rest, faith, and wholeness instead of output — until you can say what one of our women now says: “I'm the love of my life.”

Why Malica

She won in public — and got the diagnosis in private.

Former Service Design Leader, Accenture Song · Former Booz Allen Hamilton · Certified Rested Path Guide · Author, Rest Is The Way

I'm not a rest coach who read about burnout, I lived it. For over 14 years, I led service design and research work inside places like Accenture Song, Lockheed Martin, and Booz Allen Hamilton, climbing from the projects to the boardroom: awards, promotions, accolades, and nights and weekends spent running on empty.

Then, at a routine physical, my doctor delivered the news: two decimal points from type 2 diabetes, thirty pounds overweight. From the outside, I'd made it. On the inside, I was breaking down. The double life had a price, and my body was quietly paying it.

It took seven more years and a layoff, before I finally took rest seriously. What got me there wasn't willpower. It was faith, a quiet trust that I didn't have to hold everything together alone to be worthy of rest.

I'm not teaching you to slow down from the outside. I rebuilt my own system from the inside first, because I had to.

"If you've ever won in public but got a diagnosis in private, I built this for you."

Today, I help Black women in corporate and entrepreneurship stop living that double life and rebuild their health, identity, and leadership around rest.

How it works

Designed for the woman who has no room on her calendar.

Eight weeks back-to-back would be one more thing crushing you. So this is 4 months, with breathing room built in — the program practices what it teaches.

01

Biweekly, not relentless

We meet every other week. The weeks between are yours — for the work, for your accountability partner, for actually living it.

02

A small, vetted circle

Paired with accountability partners. Every woman in the room is known before she walks in so the space stays sacred and safe.

03

Nothing lost if life happens

Sessions are recorded and you can send questions in advance. The only ask: commit to showing up for yourself.

The 4-month arc

A win you can feel, every step.

This isn't rest tips. It's a guided redesign — and you'll know exactly what's shifting and when.

Session 1

Calendar Clarity Reset

Your calendar becomes the mirror. We surface your energy leaks, stress triggers, and first rest block — and "I'm just too busy" meets what's actually on the page.

The win

You see exactly where your exhaustion has been living — and name it without flinching.

Session 2

Map Your Burnout Signals

Name your burnout style and build a personal early-warning system from fatigue, cravings, and brain fog.

The win

You read your own signals instead of pushing past them.

Session 3

The Body Is Talking

Reframe cravings, fatigue, low energy — and the sugar, caffeine, and overwork you reach for — as communication, not failure.

The win

Your body becomes a messenger, and your cravings become messages you can answer.

Session 4

The Worth Wound

Trace where busyness became proof of worth — the guilt, the shame in stillness, the fear of falling behind.

The win

You begin to separate your worth from your work.

Session 5

Rest Resistance

Meet the resistance that surfaces the moment you try to rest — then dissolve it: design recurring rest into your calendar and learn how to actually drop into it, move first, then settle.

The win

A rest system that holds — and you know how to enter it.

Session 6

Sacred Time

Wherever you are in your faith, we anchor a practice of sacred time, space that isn't for producing, isn't for proving anything, just for being met.

The win

You shift from striving to receiving.

Session 7

Boundaries That Hold

Protect the rhythm at work and home as an act of faith — with a protocol for the moments that used to pull you back under.

The win

Boundaries and a plan that hold under pressure.

Session 8

Rested Leadership Integration

Weave it all into how you lead your life, your team, and your business.

The win

You lead from restoration, not depletion — with a system that never requires self-abandonment.

An honest filter

Is this your room?

This is for you if…

  • You're a Black woman leading in corporate, or your own business — and you're tired of being the only one who looks fine.
  • You've built the public success. Now your body, your sugar cravings, or your 2am scroll are telling a different story.
  • You know how to push through. You don't know how to stop.
  • You've started dreading the calendar more than you love the work.
  • You're done managing the double life, success in public, depletion in private.
  • You want the version of you at home to feel as full as the one people applaud at work.

This is not for you if…

  • ×You want a quick hack to rest faster so you can get back to overworking.
  • ×You're looking for tips, not transformation.
  • ×Your calendar is the real boss, and you're not ready to challenge that yet.
  • ×You'd rather look fine than get honest.

If you just nodded through more than two of those — you already know.

The next cohort

The version of you that keeps waiting for a better time to rest — she's not coming. This is the better time.

Bring your biggest problem right now, the one you're not saying out loud to anyone else. We'll get clear on it together, and see what's actually needed. If that's this program, you'll know. If it's not, I'll tell you that too.

If Week 1 doesn't give you real clarity on where your exhaustion has been living, we'll talk. This is built to work from the first session, not the eighth. I'm not interested in you paying for something that doesn't land.
